Overview
The course covers the process of installing, configuring and operating private, public and hybrid clouds using the OpenNebula Toolkit. Additionally the program briefly addresses the integration of OpenNebula with other components in the data center.

Specifically designed for IT Administrators, Data Center Staff, System Administrators, Systems Integrators and System Architects.
Contents
- Introduction, Installation and Configuration. This session outlines the philosophy of OpenNebula, reviews its main capabilities, and illustrates the different cloud architectures that can be built. It also covers the configuration needed in the physical infrastructure to correctly deploy OpenNebula.
- Private Cloud Computing. This session details different configuration approaches for private clouds, describes the main OpenNebula subsystems, and provides hints on extending and adapting them.
- Hybrid Cloud Computing. This session describes how to combine private cloud resources with remote cloud providers, such as Amazon EC2. Specific networking and configuration issues are described.
- Public Cloud Computing. This session shows how to install and configure the available cloud interfaces to transform the private cloud into a public cloud.
- Advanced Topics. This session includes topics on how to customize and extend OpenNebula to fit into your environment.

Prerequisites
No prior OpenNebula skills are required, but participants should have working knowledge of virtualization and Unix/Linux systems. The course includes hands-on exercises to be performed using attendee's laptops.
